Subaru Loves Pets: Second Chance Animal Shelter
We believe every pet deserves a loving home. That's why we proudly partner with Second Chance Animal Shelter, one of New England's leading animal welfare organizations. We host pet adoption events at our dealership, creating a welcoming space for shelter pets to meet potential families. As Second Chance has shared, they are "grateful to Bertera Subaru for hosting an adoption event to help pets find the fur-ever homes! It was a great day had by all with lots of wags and wet doggie kisses!"
Subaru Loves Learning: Brightwood Elementary School
Investing in local education is a cornerstone of a strong community. We are honored to partner with Brightwood Elementary School in Springfield. Through our Subaru Loves Learning initiatives, we aim to enhance the learning environment and provide crucial resources for students and teachers. By supporting our local schools, we help ensure the next generation has the tools they need to thrive.

Subaru Loves to Help: Youth Villages & The Gray House
Helping our neighbors is at the core of our mission. We partner with Youth Villages, a nonprofit dedicated to helping children and families facing emotional and behavioral challenges. On January 16, 2025, through a partnership with Operation Warm®, we donated 204 new coats to Youth Villages in West Springfield, providing warmth and confidence to children in need.
We also have a deep and meaningful partnership with The Gray House in Springfield's North End. As our chosen Hometown Charity for the Share the Love Event, we proudly presented them with a $56,000 donation on July 2nd. We also host Thanksgiving food drives to support their market, which provides holiday meals to hundreds of local families facing food insecurity. Their work providing food, clothing, and education is essential to our community.
Subaru Loves to Care: Baystate Health
Providing comfort to those on a difficult journey is a powerful way to show love. Through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative and our partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), we support patients at the D'Amour Center for Cancer Care at Baystate Health. On June 26th, our team personally delivered blankets and messages of hope to provide warmth and encouragement to patients undergoing treatment, reminding them that their community stands with them.
Supporting Our Youth: West Springfield Boys & Girls Club
Our commitment to local youth is unwavering. We are proud sponsors of the West Springfield Boys & Girls Club, supporting their life-changing programs. As a Gold Sponsor for the 2025 Holiday Tour of Homes, we helped raise over $44,000. We also served as a Silver Sponsor for the "Golf 'Fore' Our Kids" Tournament, which raised over $119,000 for summer programming and financial aid. These funds ensure that children in our community have a safe and enriching place to learn, play, and grow.
❤️ How You Can Share the Love Every Year
The Subaru Share the Love® Event is one of the most significant ways we fulfill our promise. Held annually from mid November through early January, this event turns the purchase or lease of a new Subaru into a force for good. For every new vehicle sold or leased during the event, Subaru donates to a charity of the customer's choice.
Customers can choose from four national charities:
- The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®)
- Make-A-Wish®
- Meals on Wheels America®
- The National Park Foundation
What makes this event truly special is the local component. Retailers like Bertera Subaru of West Springfield can also select a hometown charity. As mentioned, we were thrilled to select The Gray House as our local partner, allowing our customers' decisions to have a direct and powerful impact right here at home. Since 2008, the Subaru Share the Love Event has donated nearly $320 million to national and local charities, a testament to the collective power of the Subaru family.
